IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE APPLICATION PROCESS
To apply for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), you must make a claim at your local Social Security office. There are three main types of claims:
Initial
At the initial level, more than half of all applicants are denied by the Social Security Administration, regardless of your injuries. Here at the Social Security Disability Help Center, our expert staff will present your application in the most favorable manner to maximize your chances of being approved for the initial claim.
Reconsideration (Recon)
If you have already been denied benefits by the Social Security Administration, our advocates can still help. The Social Security Disability Help Center can present evidence to show that the original determination was incorrect. Though 86% of people are denied when they request Reconsideration without legal assistance, our clients have a success rate that exceeds 95%.
Hearing (Administrative Law Judge) (ALJ)
Although many applications for Reconsideration are denied, you can request a hearing before an administrative law judge. Without the appropriate representation, claimants are usually unsuccessful in obtaining benefits. However, our experts at the Social Security Disability Help Center are experts in Social Security law and win 9 out of 10 cases at the hearing level.
Our Help Center handles cases at all of these stages and offers consultations at no charge.
